Intensive Therapy
Traditional therapy is usually hour-long sessions, weekly or monthly, and provides long-term support to work through healing at a steady pace. Often with traditional therapy, the issues covered one week can get watered down in our minds before the next session making it harder to gain the momentum to fully address some issues.

In contrast, Intensive therapy provides intense, focused, and short-term therapy. These longer or more frequent treatments accelerate recovery by allowing the time and consistency to dig deep into your struggles and find individualized solutions to continue healing.
Some issues – such as addiction, trauma, or depression – can be treated more effectively with intensive sessions.

Walk and Talk
Some people get anxious or just don't like confronting something difficult in traditional seated therapy. Walk and talk has many benefits including:

-
It encourages more physical activity for mental and physical health.
-
It helps people get "unstuck" when confronting difficult issues.
-
It spurs creative, deeper ways of thinking, often released by mood-improving physical activity.
-
it provides visual distractions which can allow easier engagement.

You can also bring your dog along for the walk!

Teen Therapy
We provide a teen-friendly space for individuals to engage in counselling to discuss concerns or challenges they are experiencing. We believe it is essential to ensure the their perspective is respected and heard. It is also imperative to develop a trusting and collaborative relationship to be able to jointly come up with solutions to issues the teen is facing. Counselling can help individuals address:

-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Life Transition
-
Living with a disability
-
Family difficulties
-
Parents going through a separation/divorce
-
Self-esteem/confidence building
-
Social Challenges/Bullying

Couple Therapy
Couple relationships can be the spice of life but are often less than perfect. They can be full of everyday obstacles, or life-changing events. Staying committed to the journey can be challenging.
Improving your relationship requires the involvement of both partners, a desire to understand your partner’s needs and to connect with them on a more accepting level. Using an EFT approach, I aim to provide a safe and confidential space in which both partners can express their feelings freely and communicate openly about their experiences. The goal is to arrive to a greater understanding and appreciation of each other, thus a greater love.

Family Therapy
The essence of family life is based on healthy and caring relationships, where
every member of the family can feel secure and thrive. This however is not always
the case, especially in today’s world where the family is heavily challenged by
multiple stressors. Family counselling can help provide some perspective and
tools on how to approach the specific hardships that your family may be
experiencing.
Whether you are facing parenting issues, lack of stability, illness or death of a
loved one, or life stressors in general, I strive to help you and your family deal with
the conflict and reconnect via a warm and safe space.
